Mr. Maher is a partner with the firm of Guyer & Enichen, P.C. He has practiced for twenty-five years in Illinois and federal courts and ten years in the Wisconsin courts. His area of emphasis has been exclusively on litigation matters over his career. Mr. Maher has tried products liability, medical malpractice, and other forms of more complex litigation to verdict. He has both defended and prosecuted such claims.

Mr. Maher is on the Executive Committee for one of the first Superfund Sites prosecuted by the U.S. EPA following the enactment of CERCLA. He served as counsel for a generator defendant in the Conservation Chemical case in Kansas City. He has also tried a Superfund case to verdict and subsequently defended the judgement rendered in the case before the Seventh Circuit. Mr. Maher routinely prosecutes declaratory judgement actions against his clients' insurers as an adjunct to his defense of Superfund claims.
